How to care for your BISOU Lashes

Cleaning Fake Lashes

Fan of BISOU Lashes? Read here how to clean BISOU fake lashes and give them the best care. This way, your lashes can be used up to 25 times.

1. Remove the fake lashes carefully

Remove the fake lashes before you start removing makeup from your face. Most people remove the fake lashes using tweezers, but tweezers can also damage the fake lashes when you pull them off like this. It is best to remove the fake eyelashes with your hands: gently grasp the edge of your fake eyelashes (on the outside) between your thumb and forefinger, slowly peel the strip away from your real eyelashes, from the outer to the inner side.

2. Remove the glue from the fake eyelashes

Use oil-free makeup remover or alcohol and apply it to a cotton swab. This will soften the glue. Run the cotton pad along the lash line (band). If you look closely, you will see the remaining strip of glue on the base of your lashes. Now hold the lashes here gently but firmly between your index finger and thumb. With the other hand, use your fingers to pull the dried lash glue off your fake eyelashes. Be careful though.

3. Cleaning the fake eyelashes

Do not use mascara on your fake eyelashes, but should you have done so, it is important to also make the fake eyelashes mascara-free. To clean them, use an oil-free makeup remover. Place the lashes on a tissue and lightly hold the band with your finger, just enough to keep the lash from moving. Dip a cotton swab into the makeup remover, squeeze out the excess cleanser and gently rub it onto your fake lashes. When there is no more mascara on the fake lashes, they are clean. Important: Never soak the fake eyelashes in water or makeup remover. Doing so will destroy the lashes.

4. Storage of the lashes

The BISOU Lashes can be used up to 25 times. It is important to store them properly. After removing the glue and cleaning the lashes thoroughly, store them in the original box to keep them in shape until you want to use them again. Important: also keep your fake eyelashes out of direct sunlight. This can actually change the color of the hair. 

5. Clean your eyelid and your own lashes

After wearing fake eyelashes sometimes glue remains on your own eye(lid). Therefore, don't forget to also clean your own eyes and eyelashes with an eye makeup remover. By gently going over the eyelid and eyelashes with a cotton swab, the eyelash glue will easily release.
