Cleansing Oil

Cleansing gel, foam, and milk are well-known products used to cleanse the face at the beginning and end of the day. The use of cleansing oil is less well known. We want to take you through what a cleansing oil is, what it does for your skin and how best to use it.

What is a cleansing oil?

The skincare routine starts every morning with a cleansing of the face. We also cleanse our faces in the evening to eliminate dirt and impurities. If you wear makeup, our advice is to use cleansing oil. Why? Because it removes all contaminants from your face and the makeup you have applied. The use of a makeup remover is no longer necessary.

Cleansing oil is a hydrophilic oil that turns into a milky substance when it comes into contact with water. All the dirt is first loosened from the face (and neck and décolleté) with the oil. Then, when the oil comes into contact with water and turns into a milk, it is easily rinsed off the face, along with anything previously loosened. You are left with perfectly cleansed skin that does not feel tight.

Use cleansing oil with any skin type

Cleansing oil is a very mild product that can be used for all skin types. Perhaps it sounds strange to use oil on oily skin, for example. You might think it makes the skin oilier, but this is not true. A gel or foam can strip your skin of the layer of oil it typically has: it dries out the skin too much. As the skin dries out, it produces more oil/sebum to restore the skin's protective layer. The result is skin that becomes greasy again.

A cleansing oil keeps the skin's balance intact and ensures that the skin does not become oilier or drier. This cleanser is, therefore, more than suitable for any skin type.

How to use cleansing oil?

Using this product is very easy. Take an amount of product about the size of a euro coin in the palm of your hand. Massage it over your face in gentle circular motions. When all the dirt has been massaged, wet your hands and rub them over the beginning again. The oil now turns into a milky substance. Then rinse the face or take the product off with a microwave compress. A microwave compress stimulates the skin and ensures that subsequent care is better absorbed into the skin.
