What is SPF 50?
The protection factor of your sunscreen is indicated by SPF, which stands for Sun Protection Factor. This factor means how long you can be protected in the sun with sun protection (sunscreen) before sunburn occurs.
SPF protection factors
There are different variants of SPF:
- SPF 6 to SPF 10: low protection factor
- SPF 15 to SPF 25: medium protection factor
- SPF 30 to SPF 50: high protection factor
- SPF50+: very high protection factor
