Eye creams

The skin around the eyes is sensitive to emotion, sleep and stress. It therefore deserves a caring eye cream.

Why an eye cream?

The skin around your eyes is up to three times thinner than the rest of the skin on our face. Because the skin around your eyes is thinner, skin aging or skin problems can be seen here more quickly; think of puffiness or visible blood vessels. An eye cream contains specific active ingredients to soften the skin around the eyes and to stimulate skin firming and elasticity. In addition, the substance/ texture of an eye cream is often thinner than that of a day or night cream. This is important because the skin around the eyes is thin. The modules of a day or night cream are too large to penetrate the three times thinner eye skin. The thinner the product, the smaller the molecules, the better the active ingredients can penetrate the skin. Therefore, our advice is always to use an eye cream for your eye skin.

From when to use an eye cream?

From the age of 25 the production of collagen and elastin in your skin decreases. From that moment it is wise to add an eye cream to your skin care routine. In this way you prevent premature skin aging in the area around your eyes.

How do you apply an eye cream?

An eye cream can be applied daily to cleansed skin. This can be done both in the morning and in the evening. Apply a small amount of cream to the fingertip. Divide between two fingers and apply while dabbing to the skin around the eyes. Focus on your cheekbone and eyelids and do not apply too close to the lash line. This will prevent the cream from getting into your eye. After applying an eye cream, finish your skin care routine with a serum followed by a day or night cream.
