NikkieTutorials says: Face cleansing for dry to sensitive skin

In this blog, NikkieTutorials gives tips on face cleansing for dry to sensitive skin. Cleansing your face is very important in skincare. A clean facial skin looks healthy and radiant and feels nice and soft.

Dry & sensitive skin

During my tutorials, I use many makeup products to create different looks. And often several times a day. Because of this, my skin can get a big whack, and cleaning and taking care of my skin is, of course, even more critical.

Cleansing your face is very important in skincare. Clean facial skin looks healthy and radiant and feels nice and soft. Many people who wash their face do this too little, too often, or with too aggressive products. You can gain a lot by being careful with this. I will give you some tips for cleansing your face for dry to sensitive skin.

Determine your skin type

I think you should first find out if you have a dry to sensitive skin type so that you choose the right products to cleanse your face accordingly. Dry facial skin is often dull, feels tight, can be flaky, and you often see barred grains. The T-zone, forehead, nose, and chin give the most unambiguous indication. In sensitive skin, irritation and inflammation frequently cause redness (rosacea or rosacea) or acne. So pimples do not necessarily indicate oily skin. Also, part of your facial skin can be dry or oily. Every skin reacts differently, so I recommend getting to know yours well to cleanse your face carefully. For example, look at how your skin reacts when you wash with water alone for a few days.

Cleansing your face too often or intensively

People with dry to sensitive skin sometimes cleanse their faces too often. Too little is not good, but neither is too intensive. You destroy your natural skin barrier and remove the bacteria that are good for your skin. So cleanse your face only in the evening with a mild milk- or oil-based cleanser. In the morning, wash your face with lukewarm water only. Experiment with organic jojoba or camellia oil. You can apply these with a cotton pad and rinse gently or mix a few drops into your mild cleanser. Tea tree oil can address Demodexused by so-called demodex mites on your skin. Build up the amount very slowly to let your skin get used to it. Afterward, though, always rinse with a mild water-soluble cleanser.

Keep the correct order.

I want to emphasize the importance of proper order when cleansing your face. Always wash your hair before cleansing so that no stinging shampoo residue is left on your face. Then remove your makeup first with a unique mild makeup cleanser. Choose a cleanser for dry or sensitive skin without foam with enough conditioning elements to cleanse your face. After the cleaner, use a good lotion for dry to sensitive skin. This restores balance and soothes the skin. After that, lubricate your face with a nourishing and mild face cream.

With the above tips, facial cleansing for dry or sensitive skin will be a breeze!

Good luck!
