- Are tanning products for everyone?
Yes, they are. Marc Inbane's tanning products are suitable for all skin types & skin tones and ideal for daily use. The spray is even suitable for people who cannot go out in the sun for one reason or another. For example, think of skin cancer patients, people with skin type 1, or people who have to avoid sunlight due to antibiotics. However, we always recommend consulting with your doctor in these cases.
- How do I prepare for tanning?
Before using Marc Inbane tanning products, it is essential to exfoliate. Scrub the skin before the treatment. Preferably the day before. Shaving and waxing can be done up to 8 hours before the sessions - otherwise, your skin will be too sensitive. After exfoliating and cleansing the skin, apply a conditioning cream. Wait until the skin fully absorbs the cream. Then you can use the tanning product.
- Are there different colors of tanning?
No, the tanning products consist of one color. Our products blend perfectly with your natural skin tone making multiple colors unnecessary.
- I am getting married; how many days in advance is best to use a tanning product?
We advise applying a tanning product 1-2 days before the wedding. The product is then fully worked out, and there is also no risk of stains on your dress (although no colors, if any, often come out at the dry cleaners). If you are not yet familiar with Marc Inbane's tanning products, we recommend applying the product two to three weeks before the wedding. That way, you will know how to do it and the result.
Use of tanning products
- Can tanning be done over makeup?
Yes, it absolutely can! The spray gives your makeup a natural finishing touch and also fixes it to some extent to make your makeup last longer. But beware: if you take the makeup off, the tan also disappears. This is because makeup closes off or partially closes off the skin, preventing the spray from taking full effect. So over makeup, the glow stays on for at least one day & on cleansed skin, the tan lasts up to 9 days!
- Does your complexion instantly tan if you apply the product in multiple layers?
Yes, the more layers you apply the browner you get. We usually advise against this if you want to create as natural a complexion as possible. Should you still like to get darker, we recommend the following: wait 3 hours after applying the first layer and then cleanse the skin. In these 3 hours the skin will have fully absorbed the product and wash off the layer that the skin has not been able to absorb. So after this initial cleansing, you will see the complexion you are left with. If you then find it too light you can apply the product again.
After applying tanning
- When can I shower, dress, etc.?
The spray dries in a few minutes (or faster using a hair dryer). You can just get dressed after that. The tanning works for up to 3 hours after application, so it is smart to wait at least 3 hours before showering or exercising intensely.
- Can I go out in the sun after tanning?
Yes, you can. If you want to go directly into the sun, we recommend that (before using our products) you apply a good factor sunscreen to your skin. Under your toothed skin you just tan. Please note that contrary to what your tan might suggest, our tanning products do not protect you from sunburn. You must use a good protective factor as usual.

- Can tanning products be used during pregnancy?
As sunbathing is not recommended when pregnant (due to mask formation), Marc Inbane tanning products are perfect during pregnancy to give yourself a beautiful tan. There are no contraindications for pregnant women. Marc Inbane products consist only of high-quality and natural ingredients, are free of parabens, silicones and sulfates and are dermatologically approved and hypoallergenic. You can therefore use Marc Inbane's tanning products safely. The products work on the skin's own pigment and enhance the summer complexion. Therefore, keep this in mind if you suffer from a pregnancy mask. It may be that it turns darker than the rest of your face or body. In that case, it is best to apply petroleum jelly on the pigment, which will seal the skin when sprayed and thus prevent it from coloring with you. Note: when in doubt, always consult an expert.
- Will I turn orange?
No, there is no carotene in Marc Inbane tanning. This ingredient causes orange color in many other tanning brands. With Marc Inbane's tanning products, you don't have to worry about the (well-known) carrot effect. Marc Inbane uses only a natural dye (caramel) in the products; therefore, the skin gets a tan immediately after application.
- What is the shelf life?
Once you start using the tanning product, it has a shelf life of at least 1 year.
- Do the tanning products have a nice fragrance?
Yes they do! Marc Inbane has developed and tested the products in such a way that you do not smell a typical self tan smell with Marc Inbane tanning products, but among other things a delicious caramel smell.
- Do the tanning products give off?
After applying tanning, the product may give off a little on the inside of your clothing. This is an excess layer that has not been absorbed by the skin. After an initial shower or cleansing, you rinse that excess layer away and the color will no longer give off. Any stains on clothing or bedding do not leave permanent stains & simply wash out.
