Shampoo Bars: Start with plastic free showering

What is a Bar?

A Bar (also known as soap) is basically the same as a "normal" shampoo and shower foam. The only difference is that these products are about 80% water which makes it liquid and can be packaged in a plastic bottle. Bars have a solid form so it does not need to be packaged in a plastic bottle. As a result, little packaging material is needed (a recycled paper bag is enough) and you save a lot of plastic.

How do you use a Shampoo Bar?

1. First, make sure your hands and hair are wet.
2. You can then choose to rub the Shampoo Bar between your hands until foam forms or you can rub the Shampoo Bar directly on your wet hair.
3. Massage the foam carefully through your hair.
4. Rinse the shampoo out of your hair.
5. Store the Shampoo Bar in a dry place (see our tips below).

How to use a Conditioner Bar.

Conditioners are suitable for all hair types for easily combable, soft and frizz-free hair. Hold the Bar under the hot tap and rub the cream that is released into your hair ends. Allow to soak in for a moment and then rinse.

Note: Because a Conditioner Bar does not foam, it comes off a little more awkwardly than the Shampoo Bars. A handy tip is to leave the Conditioner Bar in a container with a layer of water by default. This gives the bar time to soak and once you take a shower, the conditioner comes off the bar more easily.

Your ideal travel companion

The new Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Bars are ideal for travel. Large suitcase, small suitcase, purse or carry-on luggage? Your favorite bar can just go with you. The bars are compact and thus take up little space. Because the Bars have a solid shape you are once and for all free of leaking bottles in your suitcase and you have no hassle at customs with your liquids. Because the Bars contain no liquid, it is the ideal travel companion and you can simply take it with you in your hand luggage.

How to store a bar?

When you are done using a Bar, it is important to let it dry properly. This way, your Bar will ultimately last longer. There are several accessories you can use to store your Bar: Bamboo Soap Dish, Bamboo Soap Tray, Bars Laundry Bag or Soap Board where you can dry three Bars at once.
