Tested: Dermalogica PreCleanse

Dermalogica products have only one goal - to improve the skin. Dermalogica's various product lines feature ingredients that actively combat the existing problem while leaving skin feeling comfortable and protected from negative influences.

The home testers tested the PreCleanse, an oil cleanser that thoroughly cleanses the skin in a professional manner without damaging the skin barrier.

I used the product on my face and neck every night for a week. It is a soft, fresh, non-sticky gel that spreads easily on the skin. After application, I used wet fingers to apply the product again until the gel turns into a light white substance. After that, it is very easy to rinse off with lukewarm water. The scent is light and fresh. After rinsing, the skin feels clean and absolutely not dry, which I often experience with other cleansers that you combine with water. The product is easy to use, has no complicated instructions, and the small amount at a time is enough for your entire face.

I put the Dermologica - PreCleanse in my dry hands, and massaged it onto my dry skin. It felt incredibly pleasant to the touch. I focused mainly on my T-zone. With damp hands, I then massaged the product in further and then rinsed my face with lukewarm water. My skin felt comfortable and clean afterwards. No tightness afterwards. The scent was neutral, which I really liked. After a week of daily use, I felt that my skin felt significantly cleaner, without my drying out. It removes waterproof makeup residue and my daily UV filter well.

I've actually never heard of a precleanse before, so I was curious about what it was. After reading the instructions I went ahead and used it. I didn't expect it to feel like an oil, but it was nice. It also rubbed out easily on my face. It also had a pleasant scent. I had read that it had an olive coconut in it, but didn't expect it to have that scent as well. After I had already massaged it in lightly, I moistened my hands as well, and then I did notice that it started to become a bit milkier. I also washed it off my face again easily, and my face felt fine as well.
