The home testers tested Prescription Vegan Edelweiss Cream + Asorbic acid 20%, products that provide even and fresh skin tone and stimulate cell renewal.

Important: for optimal pigmentation treatment, Prescription also recommends using the Vegan Edelweiss Cleanser + Glycolic acid 10% These products were not part of the (t)house test.

Liesbeth: "Lovely products."

I was chosen to test the edelweiss Cream and the asorbic acid. Lovely products. In the morning I used only the cream and in the evening the cream together with the acid. It spreads nicely and is well absorbed by the skin so it is not greasy. It soothes my sensitive skin. The scent is pleasant a little floral and fresh but not overpowering. I will definitely continue to use these products.

Functioning score 5/5

Nice cream.

Smell score 4/5

Nice fresh scent, a little floral.

Texture score 5/5

Spreads very nicely and is not greasy or sticky.

Price-quality score 5/5

Good product at a nice price.

Overall score 5/5

Lovely cream that I will definitely continue to use.

Positive points

  • Soothing.
  • Spreads nicely.
  • Is absorbed well.

Negative points

  • The packaging is not quite my cup of tea. The jar of the acid looks like a jar of cough medicine

Maartje: "I like that there is a product that addresses pigmentation in a nice way. It makes my skin calmer and healthy-looking."

I was allowed to test Prescription's Edelweiss Cream and Absorbic Acid 20%. I am sensitive to sunlight and you can see pigmentation on my skin in the form of freckles pretty quickly. I didn't have any skincare that addressed that yet, so I was very curious about the Absorbic Acid 20%. I mix four drops in the evening with the Edelweiss Cream. This cream has a neutral, gentle scent that is not overpowering. It has a fresh, delicate scent without drawing attention to it. The cream feels tremendously soft on the skin and keeps my skin from being shiny. It really softens. My skin seems to be calmer as a result of using the Absorbic Acid. Great, now that the sun is starting to shine more again!

Functioning score 5/5

My skin feels nice and soft, does not shine, and seems to have become calmer.

Smell score 5/5

Nice, not overpowering.

Texture score 5/5

Very soft, not thick.

Price-quality score 4/5

I find the bottle a bit expensive for 20 millimeters.

Overall score 5/5

My skin feels calmer and looks fresh.

Positive points

  • Texture.
  • Functioning.
  • Neutral scent.

Negative points

  • The price.

Chantal: "Great product, but not suitable for my skin."

Unfortunately, this product is not suitable for my skin (normally use IMAGE Skincare Vital C o.a._. It actually gave me pimples on my forehead, chin, and jawline. But, if this product does suit your skin, it has several advantages: the price is good, the product is easy to use, and the smell is neutral. I definitely see a difference in terms of lines. These diminish after just a few days when using this combo. The pigment spots are also less visible.

The thing I like most is that it is a vegan product. I try to avoid animal products as much as possible.

Functioning score 3/5

I chose moderate because the reduction of lines and pigment, for me, does not outweigh the pimples I get in return.

Smell score 4/5

The scent is quite neutral so the product will be suitable for many people.

Texture score 4/5

The texture is fine.

Price-quality score 4/5

The price is fine. Especially if your skin is not too sensitive, the product is otherwise ideal.

Overall score 4/5

I prefer a product with another closure for the cream, such as a valve or pump. With the pipette, this is obviously not possible.

Positive points

  • It really reduces lines and pigment.

Negative points

  • It gives me pimples.

Marissa: "My skin had to get used to this product for a while. Now that I have used it for a while, I definitely see results."

When I received this product I thought, "Hey, I've never tried anything like this before. After reading the instructions for use, I was immediately excited. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the product right away because my skin was very dry that week, due to weather conditions. I started testing the product when my skin was fine again. The product is easy to use. I meg the two products in my hand and apply them to my face. My skin can get a little sensitive and I also got quite red in the beginning. Now that I use the product longer I am starting to get used to this and my skin seems to become more even.

Functioning score 3/5

I haven't tested the product long enough to really say it works incredibly well.

Smell score 4/5

Smells fine.

Texture score 4/5

A little messy at first because you still have to mix the products.

Price-quality score 3/5

I haven't tested the product long enough to say that this is really worth €80.

Overall score 4/5

Fine product. A little tricky at first with mixing, but otherwise easy to use.

Positive points

  • You can already see tentative results even though I have only been using the product for a few weeks.

Negative points

  • You have to mix it yourself.
  • Redness at first. My skin had to get used to this product.

Conclusion: Your skin needs some time to get used to Prescription (which can cause it to react to the products), but soon you will see results!
