Salicylic acid is an ingredient that helps the skin fight blemishes, making it ideal for use after summer. Salicylic acid is fat soluble and therefore very suitable for oily and blemished skin. This is because it penetrates the pores and dissolves accumulated sebum there. Salicylic acid works by removing the top layer of dead skin cells. This ensures that clogged pores, which are often the cause of blackheads and pimples, are addressed.
