Prescription's range consists of seven actives, but what are actives and what exactly do they do? In this blog we take you through the Prescription Actives, so you know exactly what to expect from each active and which one is right for your skin goal.

What is an active?

An active is a concentrated liquid with pure ingredients. You can use an active separately like you do with a serum. But you can also mix the actives with your cleanser or cream (preferably with the Vegan Edelweiss Cleanser and Vegan Edelweiss Cream) to give it a stronger effect. So we can say that an active really has the focus to improve (and maintain of course) your skin. Find out which active is going to improve your skin.

Retinol Palmitate 3.7%

The active for young, smooth and refined skin.

What does this active do:

• Reduces wrinkles and fine lines.
• Tightens the skin
• Smoothes the skin
• Stops free radicals, such as air pollution
• Effective in treating pimples and eczema

Skin goal: fresh, grease-free skin, free of acne, fine pores, lifted skin texture, skin without lines, hydrated skin.

Niacinamide 7%

The newest ingredient in the field of skin improvement and rejuvenation.

What does this active do:

• Removes dead skin cells
• Improves skin texture
• Reduces wrinkles and fine lines
• Fades pigment and age spots

Skin goal: calm skin, red free skin, clean, fresh and even skin, fat free skin, acne free.

Glycolic Acid 10% 

The most active fruit acid that removes all dead skin cells and stimulates the production of collagen.
